How I work

My approach

I offer both open-ended therapy, as well as shorter-term therapy (8-12 weekly sessions), depending what you would like to work on and explore.

I am qualified and experienced in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling. This allows me to flexibly draw from a range of therapeutic approaches, such as Humanistic, Attachment or Psychodynamic therapies, which means we can find the best way of meeting your needs, personality and background. Whatever may be bringing you to therapy, my aim is to support you in finding your way to a more fulfilling life.

My approach is to develop an authentic and trusting relationship between us, where we can explore and address what is bringing you to therapy with care and curiosity, and gentle challenge when needed. My aim is to do this thoughtfully and always in service of your therapeutic process.

The relationship we build is central to why therapy can be a transformative experience. I am invested in working collaboratively and creatively with you so we can look with compassion and honesty at patterns, relationships and experiences in your life that may be causing you distress, or no longer working for you.

I welcome and enjoy working with people from different walks of life. I respect and value your unique background, being mindful of your personal history, culture, gender, age, religion, sexuality and the beliefs and values you may hold.

Experience:

In addition to my private practice, I have worked at three counselling services in London: TLC rehab centre, The Highbury Counselling Centre and the Camden Listening and Counselling Centre.

Before training as a psychotherapist, I worked in the Marketing and Advertising industry. This provided me with a good understanding of the work pressures and stress of the corporate world and has been a valuable experience to support clients working in high pressure environments.

Throughout my life, I also had the opportunity of living in different countries and continents (Asia, Europe, Latin America), working with people from diverse backgrounds. This has provided me with an appreciation and understanding of different cultures, values and perspectives.

I am also experienced and enjoy working with clients from the LGBTQ+ community, as well as other minority groups.
